One Way Out
A downloadable project for Windows
This is a bit of an unconventional submission. This game is played by using telnet to connect to po8.org port 10001. Telnet clients are available for many, many platforms: you can also connect using a web telnet client. I have included a copy of Dave's Telnet Client (https://sourceforge.net/projects/dtelnet/), but I have not tried a Windows telnet client yet.
The source code is at http://gitlab.com/BartMassey/one-way and is freely available, but there is no need to compile the game to try it. The README there has all the details.
*One Way Out* is a multiplayer (yes, I know, but see the writeup) pure-ASCII (monochrome — only one color) roguelike Telnet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telnet) "Door Game" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Door_games). The dungeon has only one dimension — you start at the left end, and there is only one way out: through the exit door (there is only one exit door) at the only unblocked end. There is only one way to get through that door: defeat the monsters that are in your way.
